{"id":4044,"date":"2019-10-28T08:49:21","date_gmt":"2019-10-28T15:49:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iheartplacer.com\/?p=4044"},"modified":"2019-10-28T08:51:26","modified_gmt":"2019-10-28T15:51:26","slug":"homes-commercial-space-planned-for-rocklin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iheartplacer.com\/blog\/homes-commercial-space-planned-for-rocklin","title":{"rendered":"Homes, commercial space planned for Rocklin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New homes and commercial space will soon replace the long-vacant K-Mart on the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Pacific Street in Rocklin.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rocklin.ca.us\/article\/new-homes-and-businesses-approved-old-k-mart-site\">The city council gave the green light on Oct. 8<\/a>, which will transform the lot into a 15.4-acre project of 180 apartments, 40 single-family homes and two commercial buildings.<\/p>\n<p>The Quarry Place apartments will cater to those with specific incomes, including recent college graduates, teachers and entry-level firefighters.<\/p>\n<p>A swimming pool, dog park, children\u2019s play area and other amenities and facilities will be available at the new apartment complex.<\/p>\n<p>Much like the apartments, the single-family homes are priced for entry-level buyers.<\/p>\n<p>Renters at Quarry Place can opt to upgrade into a single-family home once they\u2019re ready to take a step into home ownership.<\/p>\n<p>The developments represent a fresh start for the area and for new residents entering the real estate market for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>Demolition of the current building is set to begin at the end of the year.
