In 1859, development of the railroad system pushed development in this area, which later became known as a town. The town is named after Colonel Charles “Lincoln” Wilson. A lot of its buildings date back to 1860. Today, with a population of 45,902, Lincoln features award-winning wineries, beautiful golf courses, biking trails, a Las Vegas-style casino in Thunder Valley Casino and Resort and a history-filled downtown.
