Do you think you are the most environmentally conscious resident in Roseville? If so, you could be rewarded for it.

The city of Roseville is currently conducting a “Sustain the Gains” contest for water customers with an opportunity to win a “water-wise front yard makeover” for free. The contest is being held by the city’s environmental utilities department.

Here is how it works:

  1. Submit a photo.
  2. Submit a video of your main reasons why you should win a “re-imagined, low water use front yard.”
  3. Enter at www.sustainthegains.org by Feb. 3.

The city held this contest last year and the winners were 23-year residents of Roseville. They won new irrigation, custom landscaping and plants that use low water amounts. As a result, they have lowered their water consumption by 24,000 gallons.

In addition to a front yard makeover, this year’s winner will also get a 6-month unlimited best membership to Quick Quack Car Wash, one $500 gift certificate to Green Acres Nursery & Supply and one $500 gift certificate to California Backyard.
