Placer County is being recognized with two of the nation’s highest honors for civic procurement practices.

The awards are sponsored by NIGP the Institute for Public Procurement and the National Procurement Institute.

In winning the Outstanding Agency Accreditation Achievement Award and the Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award, Placer County is once again demonstrating its commitment to serve tax payers and keep the county’s departments running smoothly and efficiently.

The county is just one of two agencies in California to have an accreditation and is also one of 30 counties in the nation to receive the accreditation achievement award.

In addition to the Placer County’s record on accreditation, this is the 17thconsecutive time the county has received the excellence in procurement award.

The awards were presented to county leaders on Dec. 3 in Auburn.
