Breakfast fans have a new restaurant to add to their list of favorite places to eat in Rocklin.

Cracker Barrel , the country-style restaurant with just one other regional location, is scheduled to open this winter. It’s the company’s first new restaurant since the opening of the Sacramento location last year.

Cracker Barrel specializes in comfort food, especially of the breakfast variety. Visitors enjoy delights such as “Old Timer’s Breakfast,” a traditional breakfast with eggs, meat and hash brown casserole. Or the “Eggs-in-the-Basket” entree with two slices of sourdough bread grilled with one egg in the middle. Chicken fried steak, catfish fillet, hamburger steak and chicken tenderloins are other breakfast meat options.

Pancakes that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside are also available, and are made with blueberries, pecans and other fruit toppings.

Cracker Barrel also has a lighter breakfast menu and full lunch and dinner offerings.

Rocklin’s Cracker Barrel will be located on 4660 Sierra College Blvd.
