Downtown Roseville is going to be getting an upgrade for bikers and walkers.
In spring, construction of the Downtown Bridges & Trail Project will begin. When complete, the trail into Royer Park will be extended so that there will be a continuous, six-mile trail from Sierra College Boulevard to Darling Way. In addition, other improvements include refurbishment and rotation of the Rube Nelson “Icehouse” Bridge; a Taylor Street pedestrian bridge; connecting Royer Park to the Downtown Library and a pedestrian bridge; and providing a direct connection between Royer Park and the Vernon Street Town Square.
As construction preparation begins, the city is letting residents know that Royer Park’s “castle playground” will not be open from Feb. 19 to Feb. 22.
Downtown Roseville is a great place to live, rich in history and unique dining options. In fact, a new piano bar is currently in the works for Vernon Street.
