Placer County is a great area for many family activities and Halloween is a prime example. With so many safe and inviting neighborhoods across the region, plus local businesses that enjoy getting in the festive spirit, Placer County is a fun place to trick or treat.

Here are four stops you won’t want to miss this Halloween.

Vintage Oaks, Auburn

This community located in south Auburn along Auburn-Folsom Road typically has rows of houses in the Halloween spirit. You will find a variety of monsters and other frights along the way. Many residents have a long tenure in the area, which has made the Halloween festivities an annual tradition.

Coyote Ridge, Roseville

This neighborhood is located close to the Junction Boulevard and Baseline Road intersection, and takes Halloween seriously. There are tons of decorations, and rumor has it there are houses that give out full-sized candy bars!

Trick-Or-Treat at Westfield Galleria at Roseville

For those looking for some family fun in a little more organized setting, the Roseville Galleria offers its annual Trick or Treat event. The event takes place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., on Oct. 31. Registration information can be found here.

Old Town Auburn Trick or Treating

If parents want to get started a little earlier on Halloween (it is a school night after all!), Old Town Auburn hosts its Safe Trick or Treat event from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 31. Participating businesses will hand out treats and there also will be a scavenger hunt. A costume contest takes place at 4 p.m. More information can be found here.
