If you are looking for something to do this weekend, there is an event in Rocklin that will allow you to partake in a little bit of history.
The city of Rocklin will be observing the 150th anniversary of the when the great Transcontinental Railroad was completed. A special plaque will be revealed, there will be live music, commemorative Rocklin postcards will be available, model trains will be on display and cookies and water will be offered courtesy of the Rocklin Historical Society.
If you would like to attend the May 11 event, visit 3700 Rocklin Road at 10:45 a.m.
Rocklin is full of great history, which dates back to the days of the Gold Rush. This is just one of the many reasons why we heart Placer County!
